PLA is very difficult to work with. At first I thought it was actually expanding in volume, but then I determined it just has a nasty die swell that is different based on the rate at which it’s extruding. The volume doesn’t change, but you have to slice your prints differently based on how fast your going to print them.
ABS is much easier to work with, but shrinks about 15% when it’s extruded.
